These lighting systems also include our MarkLED and MarkLED EXIT optical guidance systems, which ensure adequate visibility of the road marking in many tunnels throughout Switzerland.

At the suggestion of and in cooperation with our customers, we developed a new mounting adapter for situations where mounting above the road is possible and desired.

Further impetus was provided by the fact that all systems installed in Switzerland generally struggle with the same problems of water ingress and corrosion, since the high-voltage and supply cable is laid in a slot on the shoulder.

This is where the new adapter for our MarkLED and MarkLED EXIT guidance surface mounting system comes into play, as it meets the requirements perfectly.

The stylish white adapter made of glass-fibre reinforced polyamide is suitable for both road and railway tunnels and has protection class IP68. It can be flexibly mounted either on the shoulder or the side wall.

Cost-effective, compatible and corrosion-protected

Furthermore, the adapter meets the requirements of simple and cost-effective installation, high operational safety by connecting the modules above the carriageway/escape route (no clamping points below the shoulder) as well as absolute compatibility with the systems we have used up to now.

The new adapter enables us to meet all the requirements and wishes of the operators, and we are also able to combine the optical guidance system lighting and the escape route lighting in one module.

A protective plate, which mechanically protects the module during the use of snowploughs, is available as an accessory.
